| Marriage License Requirements The New York State Marriage License "http://www.health.state.ny.us/nysdoh/consumer/vr/married.htm" The above link is to the New York State Department of Health and they have all the Information on what you need and exactly what forms of ID, etc. they accept and do not accept. Usually you need 2 forms of ID (see link above), Divorce decree / proof of termination of any previous marriages (original with raised seal) The license is good for 60 days, but don't wait until the day before because there is a 24 hours waiting period before the license can be executed. NYC (City of NY City Clerk's Website) I would suggest you check out the websites or call first to make sure you have everything you need when you go.
